Pacific Health and Welfare Inc (PHW)

Pacific Health and Welfare Inc (PHW) is a collective of Pacific professionals and ethnic-specific community champions who place ‘Pacific Greatness’ at the centre of all that we do. As part of our own communities, we are part of the solutions that develop and determine our own transformations.

Founded almost 40 years ago by visionary pioneers Dr Leopino Foliaki and Dr Semisi Maiai, amongst many others, our goals promote and encourages our communities to strive to achieve the vision: “Pacific Peoples at OUR Greatest”.

PHW has operated virtually for over 20 years receiving mainly Ministry of Health funds to deliver quality weekly health programmes in six main Pacific languages via Planet FM and community activations.

With around 200 members working throughout the health and social service sector, PHW provides a collective for members to share information, and collaborate to promote and support our communities to be their best.
